Michael Calvillo, aka Fresh Micks, realized at a young age that he was musically gifted. Growing up in the tough environment of King City, CA, Fresh Micks used music as a way to alter his emotional state. Fresh Micks picked up the violin in order to express his emotions that laid dormant within. This sparked an intense musical passion for Fresh Micks which inspired him to learn how to play the piano, guitar, bass, and clarinet. To this day Fresh Micks still uses that same passion he had as a young man to create music that is melodic, soulful, and authentic.
Fresh Micks is an independent artist who writes and produces all of his music. The inspiration behind his lyrics come from his life experience he’s endured thus far and the trials and tribulations he has overcome. Fresh Micks intends for his fans to feel “That it’s okay to be expressive and vulnerable and still be cool. I hope they relate to not only my personal struggles and situations emotionally but also can see I enjoy what I do, and I enjoy releasing it.” Fresh Micks does an incredible job at painting a vivid picture in the mind of the listener. When you listen to his music you can truly connect on an emotional level and visualize what he is expressing.
Recently, Fresh Micks dropped his latest R&B EP “Disaster 2”. This project contains 7 tracks and has a music video for his hit song on the EP “Case”. In the future Fresh Micks plans on releasing more visuals from his latest project. 2022 is going to be a massive year for Fresh Micks as he has already begun crushing his latest endeavour of the new year.
